Question 1

How do I know if it is time to reclad?

Accepted Answer

Common signs include persistent peeling paint, frequent board repairs, damp spots on interior walls, rotting or swollen timber, and obvious decay. If any of that sounds familiar it may be time to consider a full cladding replacement, and we can tell you honestly at inspection.

Question 2

Repairs or full replacement, which do I need?

Accepted Answer

Not every issue needs a full reclad. If your cladding is largely sound with some split or rotten sections, targeted repairs are a budget-friendly fix. If damage is extensive or recurring, we will give you clear, honest advice on why a full replacement offers better long-term value.

Question 3

Do you insulate during recladding?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Because the cladding is off, it is the ideal time to insulate. We install exterior wall insulation and moisture-resistant wrapping without entering your home or removing plasterboard, which keeps the process clean and lifts your home's thermal efficiency.

Question 4

Can you match my heritage weatherboards?

Accepted Answer

We specialise in weatherboard and heritage homes and can usually match existing cladding profiles, materials and finishes. Where a perfect match is not possible, we recommend a complementary option that blends seamlessly with your home's style.

Question 5

What about my windows?

Accepted Answer

Recladding is the perfect time to replace tired windows. Every window we install includes a three-part moisture management system: Tescon Enviroseal tape, mechanical folded head flashing and a flexible caulk seal, so your new windows are watertight and built to last.

Question 6

How long does a project take?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the size of the job and the condition of the structure. A single window may take a day, while a full reclad runs over a couple of weeks. We give you a clear timeline after inspection and keep you updated throughout.

Question 7

Are you insured?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We carry extensive insurance coverage and back our work with robust workmanship guarantees. All work is carried out by a licensed carpenter in Victoria.

Question 8

Which materials do you use?

Accepted Answer

We only use premium products built to last, including James Hardie fibre cement (Axon, Linea, HardiePlank, Matrix, Oblique, EasyLap and Primeline), Weathertex and hardwood shiplap. You can see the full range on our Products page.
